Frequently asked questions

Systemic Coaching

What is Systemic Coaching?

Systemic coaching means supporting and accompanying individuals, teams and organisations within discrete or organisational change processes in a way that is based on systemic thinking and interventions.

The reason for the introduction of a coaching process can be either a problematic situation or a development project.

Coaching is about providing ‘help for self-help’, to stimulate emotional and cognitive self-organisation, to explore people’s own goals and motives, to develop strategies and thus to reconcile personal experience and behaviour with professional requirements. Systemic Coaching vs. Therapy

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching can be summarised as ‘help for self-help’, a solution- and goal-oriented dialogue about professional and private inquiries, to promote personal growth, self-reflection and awareness of experiences. It entails no prescribed solutions, but rather support and encouragement at the process level to unleash untapped potential.

Therapy entails the treatment of mental illnesses that are indicated by ICD-10 or ICD-11. It is a symptom-related process with the task of promoting healing. (2025 InKonstellation)

Process

What happens in a coaching session?

A coaching session is a collaborative, structured conversation in which we explore the topic you bring - anything from stress and inner conflict to decision-making, clarity, leadership challenges and more.

You choose the focus. - I guide the process with systemic questioning techniques and interventions/methods that help you see connections, patterns and new possibilities.

Between sessions, you integrate your insights through small experiments, reflections or new routines.

This is where transformation happens: coaching gives clarity, your actions create change.

Challenges

What challenges does coaching help with?

Many of my clients work in tech, digital roles or fast-changing environments.

Coaching helps reduce stress and overwhelm at work and in private life. It helps when you feel stuck or unclear - about your career direction, with difficult decisions or inner conflicts and more.

Clients regain clarity, calm and resilience so they can lead themselves with more confidence and energy i.e. rediscover and make use of their inner compass.

If you’d like to explore your specific situation, book a free Orientation call and I’m happy to explain further and answer all your questions in detail.

Number of sessions

How many sessions do I need?

The number of sessions depends on your goals and what you discover along the way.

Some people gain clarity in a few sessions; others choose a longer process to explore deeper patterns, habits and inner dynamics.

My method involves:

  • zooming in on your thoughts, emotions and behaviours,

  • zooming out to understand the systems you’re part of,

  • working with patterns that influence how you act, feel and make decisions

This combination helps you see new perspectives and shape concrete next steps.

Together, we decide what pace and duration feel right for you.
